When using laser welding machines, operators inevitably encounter various issues. If not addressed promptly, these problems can not only reduce work efficiency but also lead to more severe equipment damage. Below are three common categories of faults encountered during operation and their corresponding solutions:

1. Black Screen Issue

Many users have experienced the screen remaining black after startup or several operations. This is usually caused by hardware failure or loose connections within the screen itself. In such cases, it is recommended to check the screen wiring immediately or contact after-sales support for repair or replacement.

2. Unstable or Vibrating Main Unit

If you notice the fiber laser welding machine vibrating or shaking during operation, the primary cause is often improper installation. Please carefully check the feet at the base of the machine. Often, only the front feet are secured, leaving the rear unstable. Ensure all feet are firmly fixed to a flat surface to guarantee stable machine operation.

3. Weak Welding Spark / Reduced Laser Power

A noticeable decrease in the welding spark intensity can stem from optical paths, lenses, cooling systems, and more. Here are the specific causes and troubleshooting steps:

  1. Misalignment of the main optical path: Adjust the high-reflection and semi-reflection mirrors of the main optical path. Use thermal paper (or detection paper) to inspect and adjust the laser spot into a perfect circle.
  2. Damaged or contaminated focusing lens: Inspect the lens condition. Professionally clean contaminated lenses; if damaged, replace the focusing and protective lenses immediately.
  3. Laser beam not exiting through the nozzle center: Adjust the 45-degree reflection mirror to ensure the laser beam exits precisely through the center of the copper gas nozzle below the focusing head.
  4. Resonator mirror issues: Damaged or contaminated mirrors in the laser resonator cavity will directly affect output power. They need to be cleaned or replaced.
  5. Optical shutter not fully opening: Check the mechanical structure of the optical shutter. Apply an appropriate amount of lubricant to the connecting parts to ensure smooth mechanical movement.
  6. Xenon lamp end-of-life: Check the usage hours of the xenon lamp. Try cleaning the old lamp to see if performance improves; if it has reached its lifespan, replace it with a new one.
  7. Contaminated or aged cooling water: Cooling water that hasn't been changed for a long time affects heat dissipation and energy transmission. Completely replace the cooling water, and simultaneously clean the filters, UV glass tubes, and the xenon lamp.
  8. Excessive defocusing amount: Fine-tune the defocusing amount to the optimal position near the focal point (be careful to control parameters to avoid generating spatter).
  9. Excessive shielding gas flow: Too much gas flow can disturb the welding molten pool. Appropriately reducing the flow rate of the shielding gas should restore normal welding results.
