The HL-QCW-300G is a QCW fiber laser galvo scanner welding machine engineered for manufacturers who must join thin, heat-sensitive metal parts without warping them. A high-speed two-axis galvo head replaces the conventional X-Y table, so the focused spot travels between weld points in milliseconds instead of seconds. The result is precision micro welding with a low heat-affected zone, repeatable to the micron, on parts that cannot tolerate thermal distortion.
QCW (quasi-continuous wave) operation delivers a long-pulse, high-peak-power output that melts metal cleanly instead of keyhole-vaporising it. Combined with galvo beam steering, the machine places a controlled energy dose exactly where the joint needs it — and nowhere else.
Heat input is the enemy of thin-section welding. The 300W QCW source pairs a short, precisely shaped pulse with a small focused spot (0.2–2.0 mm), so the molten pool is formed and solidified before heat can diffuse into the surrounding metal.
| Parameter | Specification | Field Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Heat-affected zone width | < 0.10 mm (0.1 mm stainless, 0.2 mm nickel tab) | No annealing halo, no discoloration, no post-weld re-finishing |
| Peak pulse energy | Up to 40 J | Deep penetration on copper and aluminium at low average power |
| Pulse width | 0.2–20 ms, independently programmable | Weld ceramics-adjacent or coated parts without damaging the coating |
| Pulse frequency | 1–100 Hz | Match cycle time to the assembly takt, not the other way round |
| Weld penetration | 0.1–1.5 mm single pass | Covers the full thin-wall range without a second operation |
| Deformation after welding | < 0.05 mm flatness drift on 0.5 mm plates | Downstream assembly and sealing faces stay in tolerance |
Low heat input does not mean weak joints. The QCW pulse profile produces a fine equiaxed grain structure in the fusion zone, and the galvo head delivers a consistent energy density across every point in the pattern. Typical results on production parts:

Samples are welded and micro-sectioned free of charge before you commit to an order: send us your parts and we return weld cross-sections, hardness data and a recommended recipe. Custom fixtures, additional galvo fields and inline automation interfaces are quoted per project. Payback on this machine is typically 6–10 months against outsourced micro-welding or a rework rate above 3%.
